In this movie Dr.-Ing. Hans J. Scheel talks about:
the worldwide attempts on reduced convection and near-zero convection in space for growth of striation-free crystals whereas he could solve the striation problem by forced convection on earth.

At the First European Conference on Crystal Growth ECCG-1held in Zurich September 12-18, 1976, organized by E. Kaldis and H.J. Scheel, the convection aspects were discussed, see the following reference of ECCG-1 Proceedings.
At that conference HJS introduced poster sessions for the first time in sciences and proposed „Guidelines for Posters and Poster Sessions“ which you find below.
